Important Travel and Transportation Information

Air Transportation
Incheon International Airport (ICN) is the recommended airport for this conference as it is the closest to the conference location and the largest in the area. For specific airport information, visit Incheon International Airport.

If you have a layover in China, you may need a visa.  Please see this website for further information on visas when traveling through China.

Gimpo Airport (GMP) is another viable airport, especially for those coming from more local regions. Visit Gimpo International Airport for more information.

Ground Transportation
To get from the Incheon Airport (ICN) to the convention center, click here to see a series of concise instructions provided by the collaboration institute. The file also has statements in English and Korean that you can show a taxi driver to get you to the convention center or your hotel.

Embassy & Visa Information
Foreign nationals entering Korea were generally required to have a valid passport and a Korean visa assigned by overseas branch of Korean embassy or consular offices. However, many passport holders are now permitted a visa-free entry for a limited period under certain conditions. In order to check whether you're allowed to enter Korea without visa issuance and for other requirements, please contact the Korean immigration offices by calling +82 1345 or visit the following websites to confirm.

Click here to see if your passport requires a visa to arrive in Korea.  If your passport does not require a visa to arrive in Korea, and you are officially visiting Korea on a B-1 visa which is named “visa exemption” and sometimes called “landing visa”, then you need to apply for Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA). Enacted in 2021, travelers need to complete their application at least 72 hours prior to boarding their flight.  The application fee is KRW 10,000 (roughly USD $10) and authorization is valid for two years. Visit the official K-ETA website for more information and to apply

For more information on entry and exit requirements, please follow your airline’s guidance and consult with the nearest Korean embassy or consulate. For a list of locations, click here.
