Meeting Summary

Despite preventing over 4 million deaths annually, vaccines remain elusive for many of the world’s deadliest diseases—largely due to gaps in our understanding of immune protection. Recent advances in immunological tools, antigen design, adjuvants, and AI are now reshaping how we more strategically approach vaccine design through an immunology lens.

This meeting will unite global leaders in immunology, infectious disease and vaccinology to address key immunological challenges and explore innovative solutions for next-generation vaccines. Topics include training durable T/B cell responses, inducing tissue-resident immunity, and defining immune correlates of protection. By focusing on the immune system rather than just the pathogen, the meeting aims to bridge disciplines, catalyze collaboration, and accelerate vaccine innovation across infectious disease and oncology.

Unique Career Development Opportunities

This meeting will feature a Career Roundtable where trainees and early-career investigators will have the opportunity to interact with field leaders from across academic and industry sectors for essential career development advice and networking opportunities.
