Keystone Symposia has received funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to subsidize a limited number of registration fees for local scientists, students and post-doctoral associates to attend and participate in this Keystone Symposia Conference.

Due to the constantly changing nature of travel, we urge people to research their own travel requirements. Please allow sufficient time in advance of the meeting for processing of all necessary documentation.

Entebbe International Airport (EBB) is the recommended airport for this conference. For specific airport information, visit Entebbe Airport.



To reserve ground transportation between the Entebbe Airport and Speke Resort, please email your arrival and departure date, time and airline to Flavia at reservations@spekeresort.com. (You may also email to: Spekeresort@spekeresort.com)

The cost is $55.00 per trip for up to 4 people (taxes not included). Remember to mention Keystone Symposia in order to receive the discounted rate.

The trip takes approximately one hour.

After clearing customs, attendees will be met by staff holding a sign that says SPEKE RESORT MUNYONYO.


From Entebbe International Airport

  • Head southeast on Airport Road toward Mugwanya Rd
  • Continue onto Circular Rd/Kampala - Entebbe Rd for 36 km
  • At the roundabout, take the 5th exit onto Salama Rd
  • Follow Salama Rd for 8 km
  • Salama Rd turns left and becomes Wavamunno Rd

VISA NOTE: Uganda Visa fees for both visitors and business travelers are as follows:

  • Short stay up to three months - USD50.00
  • Six Month Visa - USD100.00
  • Twelve Month Visa - USD200.00
