Keystone Symposia Travel - FAQs

Perhaps the most convenient and important international access to Killarney is via Kerry Airport. Located only 20 minutes drive from Killarney Convention Centre, it is a young, vibrant and rapidly developing facility. Kerry Airport provides Killarney with direct daily access to the UK and Germany, with developing routes to other EU & UK destinations. It provides daily commuter connections to Dublin Airport and onwards to the wider world.

Cork Airport is only a 75 minute drive from Killarney Convention Centre and provides a range of UK and EU connections.

Shannon Airport is only a little over 90 minutes from Killarney Convention Centre and in addition to UK and EU connections it offers direct flights to/from the USA with pre-clearance facilities for US bound travelers.

Dublin Airport provides significant international access to Killarney via Kerry International Airport and of course also by linking to Killarney by rail from Dublin City direct to Killarney in 3½ hours.

Irish Rail is the national rail company and provides daily train services to and from Dublin, Cork and Limerick.

The National Bus Service, Bus Eireann, provides daily bus services to and from Dublin, Cork, Limerick and within Kerry to and from all of the main centres of population. An improved road and rail network and infrastructure to Killarney reduces transfer times significantly.

A Transport Partner has been secured for Keystone Symposia for group/shared airport transfers (delegates own expense) to and from
1. Shannon Airport (SNN)
2. Cork Airport (ORK)
3. Kerry Airport (KIR)

***Please note - Subject to Flight Schedules and Delegate interest and sign ups.***

Travel is not offered from Dublin International Airport as it is more cost effective to use air/public transport links.

Register your interest in shared/group travel by 12th September 2019 complete with your arrival and departure flight details and airport to transport@killarneyconventioncentre.ie. Your name will be added to a transport manifest for the conference. Once this is completed and after the deadline of September 12 passes,, a transport coordinator will contact you within a few days with an exact transport cost and pick up times to and from your arrival and departure airport.

Please note it is not possible to quote delegates an accurate transport cost before September 12 to and from airports with pick up times until the transport manifest is complete. With significant sign ups by delegates, the hope is that transport costs can be greatly reduced per delegate and cost-effective transport offered from Cork, Kerry and Shannon Airports only.

For those that are interested in arranging their own ground transportation to/from Dublin, Kerry, Cork and Shannon either via private taxi or public transportation options, please refer to this this document for a compete list of information.
